Fast delivery, smooth start-up: Paddle Depacker system installed in the USA

When short delivery times are essential, having flexible production capacity can make all the difference. That’s exactly what enabled this U.S.-based renewable energy company to get their new depackaging line up and running in record time.

Built as a stock unit, the Paddle Depacker underwent a successful Factory Acceptance Test at Mavitec’s facility before being shipped to the U.S. Installation started in spring 2025, with mechanical and electrical work completed quickly, followed by functional testing and operator training.

Proven performance in daily operation

Designed to handle a wide variety of organic waste streams, from supermarket and restaurant waste to canned products, the Paddle Depacker now processes up to 30 m³ of input per hour, producing a clean organic fraction of 12 to 18 tons per hour, depending on material consistency. During commissioning, the customer team quickly saw the system’s capacity in action:
“The machine works faster than we can feed it, we need to hire more people.”
A positive challenge and clear proof of the system’s performance in daily operation!

Collaborative project, smooth results

The project was completed on time thanks to strong collaboration across teams. The flexibility of the Paddle Depacker and Mavitec’s ability to meet U.S. standards ensured a smooth commissioning process. The system is now fully operational, helping turn organic waste into valuable renewable energy.
