K\u00fcreselle\u015fen d\u00fcnyada biyo-at\u0131k miktar\u0131n\u0131n her ge\u00e7en g\u00fcn artmas\u0131 \u00e7evrenin kalitesini tehdit etmekte, insan sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 etkilemekte ve yerel ve b\u00f6lgesel topluluklarda b\u00fcy\u00fck bir sorun te\u015fkil etmektedir. S\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir biyo-at\u0131k y\u00f6netimi, t\u00fcm kamu otoritelerinin (eyaletler, il\u00e7eler, \u015fehirler ve belediyeler) kat\u0131l\u0131m\u0131yla biyo-at\u0131k y\u00f6netiminin s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir bir \u015fekilde azalt\u0131lmas\u0131, toplanmas\u0131, geri kazan\u0131lmas\u0131 ve uygulanmas\u0131na y\u00f6nelik prosed\u00fcrlere dayanmaktad\u0131r.
